As part of the our Corporate Social Responsibilities, The Apostolic Church-Ghana, through a request and collaboration of Wisewater Foundation has aided some Government Schools within the Kaneshie and Bubuashie communities. In all, 6 basic Schools, under the Kaneshie Cluster of Schools benefitted from the support. The population of the School sums up to 2100 pupils.
Rev. Emmanuel Amarquaye is the Executive Director of the Wisewater Foundation, a Non – Governmental Organization, with a sole aim of soliciting support from organisations, especially, religious bodies. He petitioned the Management of The Apostolic Church – Ghana to assist his organization to help School pupils in and around the Accra Metropolis. This took the form of sensitising pupils to take precautions against Cholera and Ebola by having some tit-bits about these deadly diseases printed on book markers for the use of the children. The Apostolic Church – Ghana supported the initiative with an amount of Four Thousand, Two Hundred Ghana Cedis (GH¢4, 200.00) which was used to print 2100 book markers to be distributed to the School pupils.
The President, Apostle E. N. Abebrese made the donation of the printed book markers to some representatives from the Schools – Mr. Foster Akofo and Madam Margaret Yanki and a section of pupils from the schools. They showed appreciation to the Church for lauding the initiative and supporting it financially. The President also signed the Posters for the Campaign against Ebola in the Schools.
